Pricey food for drunk college students. Great for them . . . bad for anyone not wanting some sort of heart-burn. Ouch!

The store happened to be closed the day my girlfriend and I drove up from Terre haute, Indiana. But we saw a guy inside I knocked and he made us what we wanted regardless. Food was great too!

You get essentially what the place offers: a big, fat, greasy sandwich. It is a bit pricy. But this is truly the culmination what American food is like. Greasy food made into sandwiches.

The food is great, if they ever get it to you. The staff constantly forgets to make my order. Ordered on delivery and it just never came. At all.

This place is great if you want to stuff your face.

One of my fav spots for delicious American food. service is consistently good. ambience is similar to fresno's scene.

It is nice to try once.. but not everything look clean in the kitchen and also not very healthy food!

I've called like 4 times never get a answer. Looked up online said they where open went twice only to find out closed.

This place is amazing and the people are so nice!

The last 2 times I ordered online (and paid by credit card) they said they don't have any drivers so they cancelled the order. Well the second time I got a text from a friend who said his other friend was about to deliver my food for GrubHub. But as soon as the first text came another came that said the company cancelled the order. So apparently they just don't want to deliver to me even though I'm about 7 minutes away or they don't want to deliver to my neighborhood even though my food was already paid for. Whatever their reasoning they can keep that same energy because I'll never eat there again and will tell everyone I know to steer clear of them too.

Gotta love fried treats on a bun. Takes awhile to cook so order ahead or be patient. Drunk girl in front of me last time was obnoxious about how long her sandwich was taking and stole one of the four I called ahead. Got them all free for putting up with bs

Great for what it is. Quick whole in the wall place. I went for lunch and the lunch combos were a decent price. The cheese steak was pretty good. Place looks a little shady, but my meal was good. I'd go back again to try a fat sandwich.

Their food is great. Problem is, they are incompetent without internet. They refused to accept a single order while their internet was down. Absolutely unacceptable. I waited for 20 minutes in ‘line’ with no explanation as to what was going on, nor any options for payment. Fyi, a (competent) company can accept cash and credit without internet access. They were too lazy to problem solve or find a solution so people could pay for their services, which is abhorrent. I used to love them and their food, but this one experience has ruined it for me. Learn to adapt, fat sandwich.

my nephew used one of his gift certificates tonight we got him as he likes the food. attendee would not give him any change for the $10 saying that they do not give any money back of gift certificates. it was only $.35 but this is a total scam. Nothing on the certificate to indicate any policy like that. Anyone else had this issue?

Quick service, open late, and CHEAP CHEAP beer! I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap and to my surprise, it was quite good. My friend ordered a chicken sandwich and unfortunately, he wasn't too impressed. There's minimal decor and rolls of paper towels are on each table. It's somewhat messy, chair strewn about, garbage left on tables, etc. but it is somewhat expected when you're right in the epicenter of a college campus during homecoming weekend.

Not a healthy option by any means, but seriously so good. Think of a sandwich and your favorite food and they can make it.

I have never tried this place before, however that does not mean I haven't attempted more than once. This place is listed on Grubhub. I ordered one night, and they rejected my order saying they didn't have enough drivers? Even though it was through Grubhub and I ordered something else from a different restaurant just fine? Today I wanted to order on Grubhub. I waited tonight until they opened back up at 7pm, only to be told that this place is closed and to pre-order for tomorrow. I just think it's kind of ridiculous. If you're going to advertise your business for delivery, but never be able to live up to that promise, you shouldn't be advertising it. I work in customer service and I'm deeply saddened that this company is not meeting it's promise. So yes, one star for basically false advertising. I'm not the only person who has reviewed this place that this has happened to either.

Delicious (and messy) sandwiches.Either order one off the menu or build your own masterpiece... or even attempt the "Big Fat Ugly" if you're brave enough. Do be aware that they throw the fries in with the sandwich, which I think just serves as a filler so they don't have to put as much of what you ordered in. Ask for fries on the side if you want a beefed (or chickened) up sandwich.

Do not come here for food, come here for drunk food. Criminally unhealthy and eyebrow-raising names, but delicious greasy, stacked sandwich combos. Expect up to 30min experience after the bars let out. But if your drunk self is willing to wait, it will thank you and your thighs will hate you. Also, barely any seating.

Well, upon the eve of which they open on time, great food. However, any food tastes great after the immeasurable disappointment I find when they are no open during opperating hours. The werewolf of great food.

Not worth it at all, even if you're severely drunk. Most of the sandwiches are loaded with plenty of (cold) fries and a little bulk-bought frozen food. If you just got out of a bar and want some food, go to McDonald's, Vinny's by the Slice, or even Burrito King instead.This is probably the only "restaurant" in Urbana-Champaign I've been to that I would never think about returning to. Its only customer base are drunk students who've never eaten real food.I'm astonished that there's any good reviews of this place at all.

Fat Sandwich can be expressed in three words: THIS IS COLLEGE.The "Anti-Subway," Fat Sandwich serves very unhealthy subs that taste fantastic, especially to a young American male. Be careful, though; eat here too much and you might gain a few pounds.

Best sandwiches, truly an American Icon. If you're visiting Champaign then you must eat here - though I recommend drinking heavily first so that you'll fit in with the usual clientele.

So I live in Palatine Illinois... Decided to go to Fat Sandwich for late night cravings. Google says open 11am to 3am. Drove 2 hours and a half. To our surprise its 1230am and its closed. Google still saying it's open certain hours. How nice

This place is great for someone who is 1) starving, 2) drunk, and/or 3) a masochist. Everything here is quite literally a "fat sandwich". In general, I try to avoid here, but it tastily fits the bill whenever I'm feeling a certain type of way.

The owner is always happy and smiling, very friendly guy. Rest of staff is rude except for the death metal guys. They usually take a very long time to make, and I will purposely skip most of these orders due to the staff

Just gotta love fat sandwich! It's notorious for its weird combinations of meats and toppings. The sandwiches are quite large and loaded with calories. The place is decent and they have outdoor seating

This man running this is a super nice customer oriented man. The Food---- WOW! The philly was just SUPERB!We go to audiofeed festival every year and we will for sure tell everyone and be back! Should be 100 stars.

My wife and I are from the Philadelphia area, born and raised. We moved out to southern Illinois a year ago and I have been "food depressed" ever since. Until we came here. Food comes fast, friendly service and the quality is just like back home. The man working here even gave us chicken nuggets for our 1 1/2 year old on the house. Everytime we are out this way, this is where we will be coming to eat!
